James Whisstock is scientific director of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Advanced Molecular Imaging, an NHMRC Senior Principal Research Fellow and he is Scientific Head of EMBL Australia. Previously he held an ARC Federation Fellow. James performed his degree and PhD at Cambridge University in the U.K. and he moved to Australia and Monash University in 1997, where he has remained ever since! His expertise is in bioinformatics and structural biology, with a particular interest in understanding the architecture of complexes that relate to the immune response.
