Dr Pooja Sharma is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, Melbourne. She graduated with a PhD degree in December 2011 from Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University. Her main research interests are Drug Discovery and Development using a range of Biophysical, Structural and Biochemical techniques. Throughout her PhD and postdoctoral position she gained expertise in macromolecular NMR spectroscopy, target-ligand X-Ray Crystallography, Surface Plasmon Resonance, Fragment Based Screening and Drug Discovery, Membrane Protein Characterization, Cellular and Biochemical assays. Currently at WEHI she is working on a relatively new and recently successful drug discovery technique on a range of cancer targets for the development of potential anticancer therapeutics.
